Spire runs workshops and programs designed to develop self, team and community leadership skills enabling participants to create positive change in the community. Spire's programs are underpinned by the Social Change Model of Leadership development (SCM) which views leadership as a collaborative, values-based process that results in positive social change. For more information about the SCM click here.
Spire can run 1-hour, 2-hour, half-day, full-day workshops and full 20-hour programs which involves the students working on team-projects solving real problems with Non Profit Organisations. Please get in touch to discuss options.
An idea of a workshop could include the following:
Leadership For a Better World
Students will gain a high-level understanding of the following:
Big picture look at worlds' current problems and challenges (eg: Climate Change)
The importance of needing the right kind of leaders to tackle these problems
Learning about The Social Change Model of Leadership Development
Examining examples of social change in action: eg: Greta Thunberg, Climate Change Activist
Hands-on activities that challenge students to explore the causes of complex challenges and to brainstorm ways to bring about social change
Students will leave the workshop feeling that they have the power to create change!
Students who participate in the full 20 hour program, will benefit from real-world experience contributing to making positive change, and will develop the employability skills desired by many employers! Contact us below to find out more.
